You'll never regret walking your kids to school

Today was the first time ever I walked my kids to school. Obviously we now live in a better area where the school is in walkable distance. It was so fun! A little hot, but still enjoyable just being with them in the moment. Talking to them and teaching them about pedestrian walking and road safety. You know, making sure they pay attention every time they crossed the street, looking for cars flying downhill too fast, and stray dogs to avoid.
Remember Stranger Danger? Yeah, that's still around. Seems like once in a while you still walk by someone who's mentally unfit, or creepy looking fellows, but that's good. You are with them and show them these characters to look out for.
There's a lot of people watching and looking at nice yards, and trees. We even came across a new fruit we've never seen called a Sugar Apple. Kinda neat. I wonder what it tastes like. It has some big seeds!
You even get to hug them one last time before they go to class, and see the excitement in their faces of what surprises you have for them after school when you pick them up! And the biggest thing is that it's great exercise for them and you! So if you can, somedays leave the car home and walk the kids to school! You'll find the little things enjoyable!
